Thoughts on installing a inverter on my boat

Achris, I think you need to move this to the "Humor" forum. It's the best chuckle I've had in a long time.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd the way the OP was trying to explain things. Nothing made sense. Some even suggested that he was trying to recharge the source battery through a charger from the inverter powered by the source battery... That didn't make any sense at all.... Your link provided me (and hopefully others reading this thread) with the missing information to show how the inverter, battery and shore power could all be hooked up together....

... and keep the battery charged as I run my electrical on my boat off shore power.

Which is why we need him to come back and explain what he has, and what he would like to do....

He was going to run his "shore power cord" to the output of his inverter. It was pretty clear what he thought he was going to do.
