I have a secondary Fish Finder/GPS unit I would like to put on my boat. The transducer is a transom mount. With the research I have done I am confident in mounting the transducer. My next issue is wiring the transducer. I do not have an open spot on the transom to feed the wiring back into the boat. Looking for suggestions on how to properly do this for long term success. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

You have three options....route it up and over the transom, find a spot to drill a 1" diameter hole (with connector) or cut the connector off and drill a 3/8" diameter hole, route the cable then splice the connector back on.

Lots of people seem to mount them inside the hull with epoxy/silicone making sure there are no air pockets.
