what gauge of wire do i need, battery cable

i want to move my battery to the console it will be 12.5 feet of wire what gauge do I need its a Honda 50

Standard dual core (paired) marine battery cable will be fine. The guage, I don't know. If you look at the current battery cable that runs to your isolater switch (assuming that you have one) is already the correct guage. Use the same. Never join them unless you do so at a isolater switch.

The starter on that engine is going to draw 50+ amps, so for a 25 ft run (12.5x2), 4 gauge should work.
