I have a 84 26' Starcraft Islander with a 228 Mercrusier engine. The boat runs great until the waves kick up then the engine monentarily wants to stall and sometimes the breaker that goes to the ignition switch pops out and cuts the engine off. Last time I was in rough water (3-4 ft waves) I watched the volt meter and when the bow would rise up the motor would start acting up I noticed the volt meter swinging at these times and when the bow was level or down the volt meter held steady at 13 volts. Any ideas?

welcome aboard.

it sounds like you have a wire loose somewhere that is shorting out in rough seas.
