Question on audio?

Hey all, I just bought a old duo tri hull. The boat has 2 marine speakers, but the radio that is installed is old, wont work, and simply junk. Is there anyway to simply hook up a MP3 player to play through the speakers? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

On our old boat I installed a cheap amp and just hooked the inputs to an Ipod.

Rock crawler guys do it all the time, just an amp with an MP3 jack and control volume with the player.

No... Not if you want any halfway decent sound. There are $50 amps that will do that, no head unit needed.

an mp3 player doesn't have a built in amp to power the speakers. The easiest thing to do is just buy a rechargeable portable speaker. The one I have costs $20 and I can play my mp3 through it or put music on an sd card or thumb drive and it will play them.

I found mine in a Target store on a discount shelf. There are tons of options for these.

So all I would need to do is get a Amp. I got it. Anyone ever try the Pyle Mini "300 watt" amp? Looks nice, but a $18, im skeptical.
