What's wrong with my kota motor ?

Hello friends,

I need help for my kota motor,I have older minn kota mag 16 that i bought last year. I can hear a clanking sound from the top unit...please share your advice here am waiting..

I'd first try calling MK tech support. They should talk to you because even though its an older model they want to sell you replacement parts. I have never had any issues where they won't talk with me like other product companies try and charge you after their warranty period is up. MK c/s 800-227-6433.

Another idea is to youtube how to take the top cover off so you can look inside and see what is going on. I don't know your model but most of my MK's only had 4 screws under the cover holding it on.
