do factory sending units work with aftermarket gauges?

got a 1997 wellcraft eclipse and the tach and water temp gauges are broken, will the stock sending units for those gauges work with faria guages or do i need to order new sending units

yes, the sender values are standardized. However, US/North America uses a different standard than the rest of the world. If you have a US made boat and buy gauges in the US they will fit.
One exception are the senders for trim/tilt. There you have to buy for the correct drive.

Ayuh,.... The Tach, get's it's signal from the coil's (-) terminal,....
The water temp senders are compatible,...

you guys know where to find a 3.5" tach?? mine is measuring 3.5" and i can only find 3 or 4"

A 3" tachometer isn't necessarily 3"!
