Tilt trim gauge sending unit

I ordered a replacement sending unit for my tilt trim gauge for my 87 alpha one drive and it was wrong. The senders on mine were small windings like a variable resistor. The new one had brass. Doesn't work.

Does anyone know the right mercury replacement number or a sierra number for the right one?
