Evening Fisher,
These units are made in New Zealand. They are used a lot in Australia & have a good reputation.
Easy to use & take C-Map cards. If you can afford it go for the 5500I as the colour screen is much easier to read in daylight.
Regards,
Peter.

Re: Navman 5100

Peter
Actually I did order the 5500I. Live in south Louisiana. The local West Marine matches internet pricing and there special was the 5500I with a free fuel sensor so I got the lowest price off of the net for the 5500I and ordered thru them with the free fuel cell. Can't wait for it to come in.

Thanks for the reply: Fisher 2957

Re: Navman 5100

Evening Fisher,
One small point. How big is your engine? There have been some issues with high HP (175+) engines & flow meter accuracy. It does not reduce performance but you may get a false reading. Error tends to indicate that you are using LESS fuel than is the case.
Regards,
Peter.
