question about bilge auto float switch.

i was de winterizing and getting my boat ready for the season this year, and one of the things i do is test the float switch.

i lifted the float, and the pump started as it should, but when i lifted the float all the way until it stopped, the pump turned back off. it runs fine, at any position in bewteen, but shuts off at full up and full down.


is this normal?

No...it is not normal. Something is wrong with your switch or the wiring leading to it.
