Motorguide Tolling Motor

I have a Motorguide W75 Saltwater 60" 24 Volt (White) 970200096 Trolling motor. I can't get it to turn left or right. When you try, it makes a jolt like it's going to turn but nothing happens. Propeller operates normal. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi, and welcome
Most likely the gears on the steering motor are stripped, or slipping in some way. Open up the steering box and watch it operate.

Make sure the collar that you set the depth with is tight and the shaft is seated all the way down in the transmission assembly. If that's not it then there is probably a problem with the transmission assembly and I do not believe that is serviceable.
