I recently purchased a subwoofer for my boat(along with an amp and a few new speakers to replace the old ones). Due to space constraints I'm going to have to design and build my own enclosure for it. I've done this several times in automotive applications but never for a boat.
I usually build them out of MDF. I like MDF for this application because it is smooth. However, I'm certain if it came into any contact with water on the boat(especially if it rains) it would crumble.
Has anyone done this? What kind of material would you recommend?
