I Recently purchased a 1978 Mark Twain Tri Hull with a 898 Mercrusier I/O the model of the boat is a 180T I am Having an issue with the tilt /trim it will go down but not up. It has the three buttons UP-IN AND UP/OUTin the center they are dash mounted.
There are two wires that I do not know where the go coming from the wiring harness one is purple and the other is blue with a white stripe the down position works with out these two.
I took the liberty of taking the pump out and cleaned all connections and then hot wired the pump touching the hot to the hot posts on both of the relays and the pump works that way.But when it is installed only the down works.Thank you for any advice or maybe a thread to a wiring diagram thanks again
