Hello,

First timer here. I have a 7 year old digital 109# motorguide. When it runs it makes a clicking sound even with the prop off. This occurs at any speed. There is no evidence of any foreign material around the shaft. I was told by a motorguide service guy that the brushes need to be changed. I did this and $160 later no change.

Any ideas on what it could be? The motor also doesn't seem to be thrusting 109 lbs. Is there a way to check this also?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Does the clicking frequency change with motor speed or does it stay constant regardless what speed the motor is running? I take it the noise is INSIDE the motor housing?

Yes the sound changes as the motor speeds up or slows down
