Motorguide GW 82lb running at half power - please help

I have a 2003 Motorguide Great White 82 that has just recently lost power. It seems to have a max of about half of normal. My batteries are showing full charge. I am showing 24 volts at my connection point. There isn't any over heating of the wiring. It seems to run fine in every other respect, just with about half of the power (thrust) that it once had. Any suggestions on what I might check?

24 volts is low. You should be reading around 25.3v at the TM plug with fully charged batteries. How old are the batteries and have you had them load tested?

"I double checked. They are at 24.1 volts. The batteries are two years old. I guess I am off to the battery store for a load test and likely new batteries. Thank you for your help."
