My trolling motor only runs when the switch is flipped to charge and not in run. I'm only getting half the power. Do I just need to replace the switch?

What did you do just prior to this happening? If you messed with the wiring at the batteries you did it wrong. You troubleshoot and fix whats wrong. Don't reolace parts hoping you get lucky. Replacing the switch won't solve a thing if you had messed with the wiring or if one of the two batteries has gone bad. You didn't mention it, but this IS a 24 volt motor we are talking about -- right?????

It runs off 12 or 24. Batteries did die replaced both 12 volts and it took off like a rocket. Took it in for a new prop and also had the guy replace the 24 volt it was 8 yrs old. Never worked the same since.

See how handy that bit of information was. Go back to the dude that screwed it up and tell him to fix it. There are so many wiring schemes for this stupid system I refuse to offer wiring diagrams for it any longer.
