i just brought a minn kota 30lb trust trolling motor.the motor has a sticker on it that says that i need to buy a 60 amp circuit breaker.minn kota conveniently sells them for $39.99. i dont have alot of money and was wodering if i had to get this circuit breaker of will any one due.i saw an attwood 50 amp circuit breaker at walmart for $8. the problem i have with it is that it says that it's a 24vdc and the 30lb thrust minn kota that i have recommends a circuit breaker rating of 50A @ 12vdc. is 24 vdc better or should i look for the 12vdc that is recommended in the motors manual??

The 50amp Attwood breaker will work just fine since that trolling motor will only pull about 30amps, max. I've been running inexpensive $10 50amp breakers on my 2 boat's (3 trolling motors all 70# thrust) and haven't popped the breakers yet.

Oh yeah, 12V - 24V, doesn't matter.
