I am trying to get power for a wireless remote spotlight that I have installed on my bow. In my anchor locker there is a windlass control box that looks like a mini battery. The only difference is that it has 3 posts not 2. The two outer posts go directly to the windlasss motor. I am not sure about the middle post unless it is bringing power to it from the main batteries. The installation instructions that came with the light state it is not polarity sensitive and it it requires 14 guage wire for a 10 amp circuit. I bought a 10 amp in line fuse. I assume I hook the unit to the outer 2 posts on the control box.The box has posts just like the positive and negative terminals on a the regular deep cycle batteries only a little smaller. Is my assumption correct?

Re: Windlass control box

Thanks. I should have thought of that as I already have a voltmeter to test it.
