Can anyone tell me how to ground this to my GPS . All it has is a gps receiver jack and no designated ground . Do I connect the gps ground to the radio ground ? Thanks

Re: Icom 402

If this is your radio, it appears that the outer conductor on the jack is the NMEA ground. The manual shows this to be a standard RCA jack.

No. You need to connect a standard RCA plug, which has two conductors. The center is for NMEA output +, the outer is for NMEA output -.
