In fish finders does the more grayscale mean better ? Looking to buy first one

Looking to buy first one and was wondering if the Piranah max series is worth the $100 .not looking to be jaque coustue

Depending on what you want to use it for--it should do fine and is worth the price. The sensitivity is good, dept reading is descent. I have a 160 and like it pretty well.
