Re: faria fuel gauge

The gauge does NOT have POS, NEG and GND. It has +12 volts with the key on (the "I" = ignition terminal). It does have a ground terminal which is the same terminal as negative. It also has a light terminal ("L") which is the +12 volt connection to the NAV light switch (NAV side). The sender has two wires because one (the threaded terminal or pink wire) goes to the Send ("S") terminal on the gauge. The metal shell of the sender goes to ground which again, is the negative terminal of the battery. Here is a diagram -- but it doesn't show the light. Next time you are looking for information, try using the SEARCH feature which is explained in the stickies at the top of this forum. The sticky even uses the fuel gauge as an example.
