minnkota foot controls

i just bought a minnkota maxxum 55sc trolling motor and it did not come with directions i need some info on the foot controls like how does the large button work and the switch on the side i never had one before and i need to know how it works brfore i use it the first time thanks in advance

Download a manual from the MinnKota web site. You select the speed you want to move at. Step on the pedal to go. MOM = Momentary. The motor runs only when the pedal is stepped on. CONT = Continuouis. The motor runs at the slected speed without stepping on the pedal. All you need to do is steer.
