evinrude tach ?

I have a 1979 115 hp and need to know how to wire the tach. I just put this motor on my fish and ski Cajun boat. It had a 120 hp Force motor and factory Cajun tach. Not sure if this tach will work with an Evinrude, and once again not sure of the wiring on an Evinrude, which is neg, pos, and signal and the setting on the back of the tach.

If the Force was older than 1991 then the tach won't work. They required a special tach for alternators with 20 poles.

If it was a 120 and not a 125, I think that makes it a '91 or later.
