Minn Kota 3 HP S/S housing

I have an old 3hp S/S that was not running so I pulled the armature out and discovered one of the magnets is broken in three pcs. Is there a way to repair the magnet (JB weld and smooth)? Or does anyone have a source for cheap used Minn kota parts such as the housing that the magnets are housed in?

I've rebuilt several MinnKota trolling motors. I ended up buying all the parts directly from MinnKota. They were actually cheaper than the internet parts houses for most of the parts. I was very impressed with the level of service they provided. Some of the parts are also available as kits (e.g. seal kits) so you don't have to spec out every last part. The parts diagram, BOM and contact number is in the back of the manual, if you have it. Have the motor #s handy when you call...
