Went to the mechanic/boat store today to look at hooking up a new gadget to the boat. The small positive bolted terminal was cut off my cranking battery never noticed it til today...so I bought a new battery...he said with the ETEC I run it was important to have engine and accessories on different terminals meaning not all one at one terminal...did not know if this really made a difference or not...didn't matter needed a new battery anyway for a duck machine...but is their any truth in what he was saying?

Re: Battery Post

No, that is BS. We install a lot of Etecs, usually with batt switches. Engine 12V+ cable and house power both get terminated to the common on the switch. I work for Pro-Line, I deal with Kim Cagle, BRP SE Field Engineer, he's fine with that install...
