OK ... so I have had a Garmin Chartplotter for 10 years hooked up to my Autopilot and never had a problem. The connection is NMEA 183. I just purchased a new Raymarine A70 plotter because i wanted to be able to see the plotter in the sun and also i want weather connected. The Garmin plotter had NMEA + and - connections to the autopilot. So i thought i would hook up the new plotter the same way since i would have to run a new cable with more wires to hook up the seatalk connection. I connected the yellow and brown wire from the plotter to the NMEA connection to the autopilot and i cant get the two talking.
Any Ideas?
