I have a 2Xstroke 115 Hp Yamaha outboard model 91.Last summer the rpm analogue gauge was working perfectly. It is the original Yamaha`s tachometer with oil indicator and warnings .I took out the gauge at the end of the summer and I installed it back again this year (respecting the wiring ) but the pointer of the tachometer passes from zero to the full scale instead of indicating the zero) as i close the circuit and when the motor runs it stands still also to the same position (full scale). As i switch off the pointer returns to the zero indication. All the other indications work normally.I am not sure where is the problem. What have I to check before to replace the rpm gauge? I tried to find some check in the sevice manual but there is nothing.

Thank you very much for the help
