Re: furuno nmea connection????

I have a Furuno 582L. If the 600L is like the 582L, which I'm 99.9% sure, TX is on pins 1 and 2 and the RD is on pins 3 and 4 on the NMEA cable.

They don't give wire colors so you'll have to "buzz out" the cable to determine which wire is connected to which pin in the connector. Pin numbers should be marked on the connector.

You'll need to go into the system menu and turn on NMEA. The default is for NMEA to be off

I can't help you on the Ray side. Running a Garmin 4208 chart plotter.

Re: furuno nmea connection????

the connections from the nmea port on the c-80 are as follows
brown is neg out it will connect to neg in on the furuno
yellow is pos out it will connect to pos in on the furuno
green is neg in it will connect to neg out on the furuno
white is pos in it will connect to pos out on the furuno
the bare wire goes to common rf ground for your electronics.

sorry it took so long I have been busy installing a sr50 sattelite weather reciever to my c80. hope this helps.
