I need to pick up a battery for my new-to-me bow mount motor and am thinking of an Optima blue top one.
My thinking is the battery will be stored under the bow seat (1977 Starcraft SS) and will take more pounding then the batteries in the back of the boat so the gel-cell would be a good choice.
This will be only for a 55# Minn Kota Powerdrive.
Is there a better choice? I know the price is double for a standard battery but one bad bump and a spill would make up for that.
