I've been having problems with my 2007 Chaparral and the factory/Dealer installed stereo system. My boat has a Clarion head unit located in the glove box and two remote volume/station controls. 1 located at the drivers controls to the side of the wheel. and the 2nd on the back on the deck, by the steps.
My problem is that none of the buttons on either remote control will work. There is a source button, volume controls, band and station controls, none that are functional.
The Display/time on each of the remotes works perfectly. The station reads correctly when changed on the head unit.
I've checked all the connections/plugs that I can find easily.
I'm wondering if there is a simple solution that I'm missing or some way that someone can help.
