This an old hand held unit, that I have a hardwire mount on my boat IT has worked great but turned it on and can not get any kind of signal. basicaly it is not recieveing any signal. any help would be great.
Is it indicating that it is searching for satellites?
Sometimes they forget where they were last and take a while to figure it out so they know what satellites to look for. They also sometimes forget what time it is.
I left my Garmin 276C in storage long enough for the battery and the internal memory to die. When I powered her up again it took almost a half hour for her to re-orient herself.
tracked satlite signal bars shows no strength left on for a good 1/2 hr and reset all times . still same searching for sat signals, should I find a repair $$$$$ or just buy new
