2001 glastron and Clarion xmd2 radio replacement

I have a 2001 Glastron gx ski and fish and the radio has died on me. It is a double din opening above the glovebox. So I can't replace with a regular marine radio. Has anyone out there replaced thier Clarion xmd2 radio? If so, what did you replace it with and how did you do it? I don't want to waste money repairing an old radio, and I have not heard the best about the Clarion Marine products. Any help would be great!
