Raytheon NAV 398 Won't hold memory?

I have a NAV 398 that won't save any positions? I was told by someone that there's an internal battery that goes bad? I don't see anything about it in the manual. Has anyone had any such problem with one of these or any other Raytheon unit? It came with the boat and I'd like to get it working, it was working two seasons ago when the former owner had it, the boat sat for a long time unused. I emailed Raytheon but haven't heard back yet.

I solved the problem myself, I was able to buy a replacement battery from Raymarine and opened and soldered it in place in about 10 minutes, it's all back to normal again, but all info is lost, I have to start saving points all over again.
