Any opinions good ,bad or just too old, ugly? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

The model number is a FCV522. Its a dual frequency unit (50/200 hz) with an 8" CRT display and 150W RMS of power.

Furuno is arguably the best fish finder in the business. You’ll find more commercial boats running Furuno and all the others combined.

In it's time it was a good fish finder but it’s large and with only 150W of power your sensitivity would be limited. In comparison, the new low power Furuno units are 300W and most units utilize from 600W to 1KW.

I’m running a FCV582L and the performance of this unit is second to none except for the new FCV585 Digital unit.

I'll also add that they are almost impossible to see in daylight. That will be typical for any CRT screen.
