Hi Everyone

How big is your screen? Need to buy a new one, but it seems so expensive for anything over 5"...

How often does one use the split screen? It seems like that is the reason one would need to get a bigger screen.

Re: GPS/ Fishfinder/Plotter

If you have room on the console I recommend seperate units, Mitro.

The expense of a GPS used only on the boat seems wasteful to me, given the other applications that a multipurpose GPS offers.

My GPS is a Garmin 276C, which I use to navigate my vehicle and when hiking, as well as on the boat.

My sonar needs are simple and well covered by my Eagle Cuda 168.

Just my opinion, but a readable split screen has to be BIG. Two smaller screens end up costing less.

I agree with JB all the way.

Seperate unit better if you have the room.

Screen size to me depends on two thing, How good your eyes are and how far away you want to be able to see the screen. I am to the point I need to were glasses to read thing close up but hate glasses on the boat. A running fish will sling water off your spool and get on your glasses. A 3.5 inch screen can not be seen from the back of the boat.

Lowrance Color screens in my opinion brighter than any other brand.
