Does anyone have Sirius radio in the boat...and how well is the reception on a lake or river?

I take mine from the car to the boat all the time. works great. Never have to worry about loosing reception unless under heavy tree cover.

probably better reception than in the city, as no interference with signal.

wouldn't leave home without my sirius. gotta have Howard Stern and music.

works great on the boat. i mounted it in my glove box so it would not get wet.

I've also found it necessary to take my sirius from my car to my boat. Once you start, you're hooked.

I would ask other users in your area before buying a satellite radio. I found my truck had a lot of dropouts here in a northern state with tall trees. A lake would probably be OK (not so many trees on a lake), or in the flat lands.

As long as the antenna can "see" the sky, you have no reception issues.

As stated, it works better on the water than in the city.

I've got her installed, and its true...I get better reception than in my car.
