min kota foot control plug

Hey guys, just bought new min kota 36 v fortrex, need to change male 4 prong plug that goes on foot control, all I seem to be able to find is marinco 12/24 volt
​plug, will it go the job, really do not want to burn up my new motor

You only need two terminals for 36 volts so it doesn't matter if you have a two, three, or four terminal plug. Do the series jumpering at the batteries and run the two wires up front to the existing receptacle. Then make sure the plug wiring on the motor matches that on the receptacle.

Hey Silvertip, thanks for the response, boat already has 36 V system, just needed to add plug to foot control, old plug broke when I removed wires.

Why not buy a set (two wire male & female). Good to go for the life of the boat.

Go with the Marinco 12/24 plug/receptacle and wire straight through as ST suggested. They are heavy duty parts that will last a long time.
