Mercruiser 5.0 carb audio warning alarm not working

Hallo from Downunder . My name is Derek , new member . Need some help troubleshooting audio warning alarm on my maxum 1900 SR 5.0 mercruiser engine. The alarm does not sound when the ignition key is on. I have replaced oil pressure switch and oil pressure sender unit ( still no sound ) , i have crossed wires from gear oil reservoir and the alarm sounds . Can someone tell me how to test the temperature switch to activate the alarm ? Many thanks

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... If ya ground out the wire from any of the 3 switches, the alarm should sound,....

Thanks. I have to sensors fot the temperature . One has one cable on it tan colour , the other one has 2 cables yellow and black coming in . If any of this cables connected to the minus - it should activate the alarm ! Is this correct ? Thanks

Ayuh,... 1 is the temp sender for the gauge, the other is the alarm switch, which I'm guessin' is the 1 with tan wire,...
