I have a 1987 SeaRay Seville with a Mercruiser 175/v6 and I am trying to diagnose / fix the trim up on the handle. The trailer button works, but not the trim on the thumb switch. I am wanting to bypass the trim limit switch to see if that resolves it. I was going by the diagram in the image I attached, and I split and connected the blue-white coming from the control handle to the blue-white going to the plug that then goes to the the tilt/trim pump. It didn't work, and then I noticed the purple wire also. Am I connecting these the right way to bypass? Thanks in advance for the help!

If you join the purple-white to the 2 blue-whites that are circled in red that should bypass the trim limit switch.
They might even plug into each other to make it easier.

So All 3 will need to be connected together? Both blue-white and the purple?

I'm not a wiring pro but that's what I would do.

When the limit switch opens it stops the trim up from working.

You can test the leads coming from it.
As you rotate it your meter should show continuity and then no continuity.
That's how you adjust your trim up maximum height.

I made a jumper with some crimp-on bullet connectors. I think you need two male connectors on the jumper; I believe the leads on the boat side are both female.
