good afternoon everyone, am hoping that someone can help me with this problem am having. I have a 1997 mercury 125hp 2 stroke 4 cylinder outboard motor. when I try to start the motor it turns over very slowly and it won't start. I removed a plug or two and turn the ignition and it turns over alot better. there is spark coming from the plugs but it looks weak, when I put back in the plugs the engine again turns over very slowly and not building enough compression to start it. what could be the problem with this motor?

Top of the list, bad battery, then loose or corroded wires, after that a weak starter. Check those and you should find the issue.
