Hello, since they appear to be NOT overlapping in production, I wonder if anyone here knows the differences between Lowrances HDS5 series and their Elite 5 HDI series. I am looking at purchasing a used model and I see both.....but the HDS5 is hard to find... I know I have a HDS7 already on one of my boats.... I am rebuilding a boat for my son and I don't want to dump a lot of money into electronics when it will be his first fishing boat!!! there appears to be quite a few used unit available in the ELITE5HDI series.......

can anyone tell me the differences between these units
