Voltage drop

Hi, have read a lot on here thanks for all your thoughts....I've got a bunch of issues with a engine swap but the oneThat's puzzling me is that at the battery I have 13.4 volts and on the new gauge I have 10.7. I verified this with my meter and a lot of places around engine is 13 plus volts..any thoughts..thanks

how long is the wire/ what gauge wire/ connections clean/ DVM voltage at gauge connection/ anything connected to the gauge feed wire that may cause the drop?

i found it .maybe this will help others..the grounds are daisy chained ..which I don't agree with but one was loose on the trim gauge that affected the volt gauge..thanks for the reply ..its om a Larson 234 escape,volvo penta 5.0 swaping to 5.7
