I had a problem with my starter bendix hanging up, which caused the related wiring and components to get hot before I could disconnect the battery. I saw some light smoke coming from the area around the solenoid and coils area, but have found no melted wiring or obvious damage. I replaced the solenoid and had the starter repaired. The starter and solenoid seem to be working fine, but I get not spark. What would you do next?
