I have a Volvo Penta IPS 400 with EVC B. I have been having problems with my port side control. When I start the port side I get a "control lever supply/signal loss port HCU" alarm. Both engine can start, however I have no throttle on my port side.
Volvo Penta regional rep came on the boat 3 times already and changed some components (EVC pad, port side throttle lever potentiometer and my key switches... Problem is still there.
Finally, the boat will start later in the day (when it is sunny/warm) and all is working great
I already tried to switch/swap a lot of the connectors - however I am not getting anything conclusive.
Anyone seen this problem before?
I am guessing some humidity/bad connector as boat works well for part of the day.
