1986 sundancer 250. did not come with a on-board charger. i have been using an auto-zone schumaker charger that has a maintenance mode. my boat does not have the AC panel with the switches. i just plug in my shore power and my 110 works. i plan to install an on-board charger but unsure of any issues without having the AC panel. anything special i need to do or buy? all i have is a small breaker box under the sink in the gally and a few 110 outlets. my fridge runs off of 110 or 12v but it switches over automatically when i'm on shore power. likely looking at a pro-mariner 2 bank 20 amp charger.

thanks

You have outlets you can plug an onboard charger into? That's all you need.

You can hardwire it if you want. Just add another breaker for it if you can.
