I have a hummingbird 788ci that I put a new transducer on yesterday and went out in the boat today. It's a brand new transducer and it's reading wrong and it's not showing the bottom or anything just the white screen with the depth lines on it. Am I not doing something right in the set up or what. Also is there a way to test it on land. I'm supposed to bee heading offshore next weekend to chase done snapper. I have another machine but was wanting this one to be working. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was just reading another thread on another forum and they talked about having a lowrance and a bird transducer close to each other and both on could cause problems had anybody heard that. One is on starboard and one is on the port side probably Max 4 ft apart

If you use them at the same time it's possible, but not usually in that way.

In the menu is there an option for different transducers?
