I have recently got a 77 johnson 75hp with controls. Got the boat and tried starting it from the key it just clicks. Purchased a new solonoid and keyed ignition the old one had the key broke off. Changed all the parts and now i get nothing no click or anything. I may have mixed up the wiring on the ignition tho. Does anyone know what wires go where. Its a 5 position ignition switch and i have the following wires. 2 purple that were together they look like they come off the choke switch. 2 black together a red a white and one black with a yellow stripe. If someone could point me to where on the ignition they go that would be great.
