My husband and I are in the very beginning stages of restoring a boat we just recently purchased (see thread titled, "New to the boat scene!") It is a 1956 14 foot fiberglass Blake Craft. We just found a 30 HP 2003 Honda Motor with remote start. My main question is...when we have it all done...what color scheme should I pick? It is going to be my boat, I am the fisher lady in the family, not my husband . I like light colors, green is my favorite. He wants to put a light gray rhino like plastic covering in the entire bottom of the boat so it doesn't hold in the heat too much, but he suggested that the outer hull match the color. I am all for the spray on plastic covering. I could go on about what our ideas are for the boat...it is just going to be my little fishing boat that I can use on rivers and lakes only. It will never see the ocean! I was thinking perhaps stick with the white color and make the cap a seafoam green. Honestly, this is our very first boat...what does everyone here suggest?
