Name this boat.
Sitting for 3 years?
Older maybe 19?? something
Had a Johnson ob 35hp for with the center steering column & controls
1' by 1' flip up seat in front of driver and a 3' long 1' wide flip up bench seat behind the drivers swivel seat.
Gutted it and Put new floor in 2010.
I think it's about 19' long.
I'm debating whether to finish restoration or sell it for just a smaller aluminum rowboat. But I have lost the metal plate that had all the information on it under the 1' by 1' seat Storage space.
Thanks

Pretty sure it is a 16 foot Mariner by the looks of the transom and the bow rails. Some time after 1974 cuz it doesn't have the rub rails mid way down the sides of the hull.

There would be a line of rub rails about mid way up the side, like the SC in my sig pic.

From the seat description it sounds like a Star Trek V. Have not been many of those here.

Edit - a 16'er , I think I saw a bench up front.

I think it's a Mariner. You see in the above pic that the mariner doesn't have a splashwell and a "tall" transom. Your pics match exactly!

Still say it looks like the back of the Star Trek V 15.

I would also think the draft on this would be about the same as a small rowboat. It would also have much higher weight capacity.

I think I agree with 64 I too believe it is a Star Trek V15. It does have a splashwell unlike the mariner from above.

I stand corrected, I missed that photo I think, it does indeed have a spashwell and the lower cut transom looks like the Star Trek V15. Either way it's a really cool boat!

star-trek v starcraft Two years later: I got it cleaned out and some new tires on the trailer. Found a montgomery ward sea king 7 hp to put on the back. Maybe a little small. (I really just want to smaller aluminum boat) To be continued..... Edit: want a smaller aluminum boat :)

Welcome back Muts

Star-Trek is a nice model.

You want a smaller boat? Or you went to a smaller boat?
