Strange .. It does have a slight hook but doesn't look to be enough to cause any major submarining ... I would try trimming up as much as you can ... Maybe even add some weight in the back .. I would think it gets on plane really quickly . I know on my boat when it's trimmed all the way down it will surprise you and just take off which ever way it happens to be pointed ..
How much is it hooked at the worst spot ? From the pics it looks like about 1/2" at the most ...

Seems to be two different kinds. from front to back it seems the middle of the boat is about 1/2 higher then the bow and stern, i kinda think this is either A in the design of the boat, or B, from it sitting on the trailer for years.

as far as the back of it, ill have to measure, it seems to be a pretty substantial bit. it has no problem getting on plane, i can jump it up with 1/2 throttle and maintain plane at 3/8th throttle, maybe a little lower. its a very light boat. probably weighs 200-300 lbs. the make is a Johnsen spelled with a E and not a O.

Forgive the other half of the engine missing, last time i had it out i was running 1/2 throttle, look back to see if it was pissing and it was only pissing steam. no water. always somethin.

I ended up picking up a stumpknocker 2 for $100 bucks yesterday. i think itll work better for the im wanting to use it for. so im gonna put a smaller engine on this one and probably give it to my mother. and make it a tiller boat, and put the console and whatnot in the stumpknocker. hopefully they should be two happier boats.

image_214620.jpg image_214619.jpg A boat made here locally in florida, i dont know if they're still in production but they seem to be pretty solid boats. my friend down the road had one with a 25 3cyl yam on it and it did well in the back waters. so i got this one to fix up. just redoing the front deck and rebuilding the transom.
